ASP (Associate Safety Professional):

• Focus: Foundational knowledge and skills in safety and health management.
• Experience Requirement: Generally requires one year of professional safety experience.
• Exam Content: Covers a broad range of topics including advanced sciences and math, safety management systems, ergonomics, fire prevention, emergency response, industrial hygiene, environmental management, training, and ethics.
• Example Topics: Solving basic engineering economy problems, identifying industrial hygiene principles, recognizing fire hazards, and selecting appropriate PPE.

CSP (Certified Safety Professional):

Focus:

Advanced knowledge and application of safety and health principles and practices.

Experience Requirement:

Requires four years of professional safety experience.

Exam Content:

Similar to ASP but at a more advanced level, with a greater emphasis on application and problem-solving.
